Originally applied to two-door hardtop, coupe, and convertible versions of Chevrolet’s Bel Air in 1958, the Impala name was subsequently used in its own right to signify a top-of-the-range luxury trim level rather than a separate and distinct body style. “Lower, wider, and longer”, the 1958 Chevrolet Impala was a car naturally born for the road. Chevy’s new gull-wing fender styling brings grace and a luxurious width that makes the Impala 1958 an iconic vehicle.
RB Collection is pleased to offer this very nice and attractive 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe. This example is a very desirable model, equipped with the 348cu. engine, triple 2-barrel carburetor, and Powerglide transmission. Adorned with a stunning Rio Red exterior and a gray, black, and red cloth/vinyl interior, this Impala was acquired by its most recent owner, a prominent collector, in 2008 and received a Senior award from the AACA in 2012.
The restoration is in impeccable condition and has only been driven to concours and special events. The stunning Rio Red paint is flawless. Each detail, including the engine bay, exhibits the quality expected from a top-tier restoration, featuring exquisite paintwork, perfect gaps, and authentic detailing throughout. Likewise, the extensive chrome and polished brightwork is excellent, including bumpers, and dual antennas.
The tri-color interior was expertly crafted using high-quality materials, and the same attention to detail was applied to the dash and door panels. Completing the unique features of this car, it is equipped with power windows, power steering, power brakes, tinted glass, and Wonder Bar radio.
