HURST PKG.?This perfect and unique Pontiac Tri-Power GTO Hardtop, PHS documented, is equipped with its original V8 389/360 HP engine, 4-speed HURST transmission, 3.90 rear, H.D. fan, metallic brakes, power steering, Rally Gauge Cluster and five HURST wheels (serial numbered). Finished in Bluemist Slate with Parchment interior – the trim chosen by GM for the car?s marketing campaign in 1965 – this GTO has been the subject of a nut-and-bolt restoration and an engine rebuild by Jim Taylor Engine Service, regarded as the top builder of Pontiac engines. This unique car received the Best Debutante Award at the 2006 Concours d?Elegance of the Eastern United States and it has won more than 20 other trophies as well. In 2010, it was on loan to the America On Wheels Transportation Museum in Allentown, PA as the centerpiece of their muscle car exhibit. The 1965 GTO was voted ?The Most Desirable? by members of the GTO Association of America.
